HBCU Innovation Internship

Eric Scott
“As an HBCU student at XULA, my experience with the HBCU Startup Internship program through GNO Inc. was transformative. The entire experience was enriching and provided great insights to being an entrepreneur. Summer 2023, I had the privilege of interning at Cint, a global software leader in digital insights. Working as a project manager intern, I contributed to enhancing user experience and monitored survey outcomes. Being able to network with professionals at Cint, from project managers to the EVP of Global Customer Marketing, broadened my perspective. Presenting to both my GNO and Cint families was a highlight, and it led to incredible opportunities like winning 2nd place in a BizTech pitch competition with Nexus Louisiana. I’m immensely grateful to GNO Inc. and my Cint family for the invaluable experience and support.”

“The HBCU Innovation Internship shows the true definition of black excellence in entrepreneurship. It is to help and assist black youths with real-world solutions and come up with new idealistic career fields. This internship has taught me that I can take my major in psychology to a completely different level. I encourage other HBCU students to take this entrepreneurial opportunity and path toward more gateways and networkin”

“I want to express my gratitude for the opportunities given by the HBCU Innovation Internship Program. This program allowed me to become a student intern at the Port of South Louisiana, one of the largest tonnage port districts in the western hemisphere. During my internship, I gained a deeper understanding of business operations and the value of a team.”
